An intensive two-day training course was organized for King Khalid University staff in sensitive positions, with participation available both in person and via Zoom. The course provided a comprehensive overview of cybersecurity and its importance in the modern workplace, focusing on methods for preventing and protecting against potential cyber threats. Data protection principles were explained, including the importance of using strong passwords and updating them regularly. The clean desk policy was also introduced, highlighting its role in maintaining information confidentiality and preventing unauthorized access. A selection of educational videos provided further insight into cybersecurity concepts and protection techniques. The course also reviewed cybersecurity tools and technologies and explained how to implement them effectively in the workplace. The course aimed to raise cybersecurity awareness and equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to protect sensitive information and data in digital environments. At the end of the workshop, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions about cybersecurity. These questions were discussed and answered to deepen participants’ understanding and enable them to apply security concepts and practices in their workplaces.
