The General Department of Cybersecurity at King Khalid University trained 26 female trainees, as part of its “Women in Cybersecurity” initiative, which is one of GoGeek’s initiatives. The General Supervisor of the General Department of Cybersecurity, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saqr, explained that the course covered several topics, including: cybersecurity theory, cybersecurity challenges, policies and mechanisms for implementing,cyberattacks, cyber-hacking, malicious software, network security, and cryptography. The objectives of the course included providing suitable material for women interested in specific knowledge in the field as a starting point for them, as well as transferring the outcomes from training for the (beginner) stage to training for the (intermediate) stage during the programs of the second phase of the initiative, in addition to forming a community of women interested in the field in the region.
